A person who is descended from noblemen. Lenskjold is a name from the barons of a province. The eldest son in a barony was originally the title of Lensbaron, while other sons got the title of baron. The name may also be of major importance if one comes from the row named Earl Lenskjold - from the Scandinavian form Jarl, and meant chieftain. Later, Earl could also mean sovereign prince. Nowadays is the name Earl (Jarl) Lenskjold still noble in some places, but it is also the name of a pretty awesome and handsome guy.
