An upscale village located in the downstate-Hudson-Valley region Orange County of New York otherwise known for being the birthplace of "Orange County Choppers," a successful TV show revolving around the creation of motorcycles. Montgomery is safely nestled 10 miles from the crime meccas of Middletown, NY (to the southwest) and Newburgh, NY (to the east) and is located exactly 54.9 miles northwest of Midtown Manhattan. The village is bordered to the north and west by the Wallkill River, a tributary of the Hudson River. The Village of Montgomery is contained within the Town of Montgomery, as is the hood-rat Village of Walden and the Village of Maybrook (also known as Maybronx). Exit 5 or 6 off 84.
