A hasty response to a request for data or information, such as project time-frames or costs, that has the appearance of being relevant and well considered while in actuality being largely baseless and pulled from thin air. Similar to a guesstimate but lacking any forthright element, pull-it-out-of-your-asstimates are typically a response to an unreasonable request or means of quickly escaping an otherwise long, drawn-out and pointless discussion.
