Not Yet Ready For Prime Time. Back in the ancient days when people watched television after a weekday of work, the shows that came on in the evening were said to be aired "in Prime Time" and any show that was not at its peak was "not yet ready for prime time". Alternatively, this was sometimes a joking reference to shows that would never be ready for prime time because they might spook the kids doing homework nearby under the watchful eye of their parents (this *was* a long time ago).
