Denver, Colorado based street art collective using magnets as the sole method to apply their art in public places. Because magnets are temporary and non-destructive to property, the 'Mafia' has been able to bypass many of the legal troubles associated with more permanent forms of street art and graffiti. With the help of friends, artists, and other organizations, the 'Mafia' shares art with the public, locally, nationally, and internationally. Any magnetic surface (steel, iron, tin) is fair game, most street and traffic signs are aluminum which is not magnetic. The Magnet Mafia was founded in the spring of 2006.
