A suggestively instantaneous purchase, normally pertaining to athletic footwear, caps, or streetwear. Rooted in the slang term "cop"; meaning "to seize" in traditional Northern England dialect. The prefix "Robo", in this case, pertains to the mechanical, automatic nature in which the seizure of said goods would be executed. Ultimately a play-on-words of the 1987 motion picture of the same namesake. Origins can be traced to the internet shoe forum, nicekicks.com, where it was popularized.
