When you like something a whole lot that no one else likes or knows about, and that is a large part of its appeal. Soon, however it takes off and everyone starts jumping on board. You're really pissed and automatically start hating it when it is referenced on TV or in movies and you see t-shirts with the logo on it in the HotTopic store window. It is now hated by you and basically sucks and you wouldn't be seen dead listening/watching or basically enjoying it in any way.
