It is pronounced "Fair-bo" but spelt Faribault. A beautiful city in south central Minnesota. It has managed to keep its historic heritage and some of the buildings are extremely old. New houses and new streets are all over the place. Faribault has things like a Walmart Supercenter, Minnesota State Academy for the Blind, Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf, Faribault High School, Faribault Middle School, Bethlehem Academy, and Divine Mercy Catholic Church (and school). Faribault had a population of 22,218 in 2000. Faribault's motto is "Small town pride, big city opportunities."
