1. Verb referring to the act of adding Iron Maiden-related matierial to something else, such as playing Iron Maiden songs at a party, sowing Iron Maiden patches onto one's denim vest, putting Iron Maiden stickers onto one's guitar, or making someone like Iron Maiden's music. 2. Verb referring to the addition of time and tempo changes as well as twin guitar harmonies to an already composed piece of music to make it sound more like Iron Maiden's style. A famous example is Steve Harris' maidenization of "22 Acacia Avenue", which Adrian Smith had already written for his previous band. Often spelled with majuscule 'M' as in 'Maidenize'. Another variant is 'maiden-ize' or 'Maiden-ize'. Often used with quotation marks.
