(verb) To beiz. A term limited to the field of social negotiations. Has a multitude of meanings. A social art form of both cunning manipulation and flawless technique that only a natural is capable of mastering. No matter the definition, a key theme throughout is discretion. Usually implied with a negative connotation. 1) Akin to excessive schmoozing, sucking-up, or attempting to entice with ostentatiousness, while reserving the qualities of eloquence and perceived class. In this context, an intricate form of persuasion, often over/under-emphasizing the positive/negative qualities of, including fabricating details about, someone or something. 2) The elaborate employment of a convoluted style of speech involving intellectual humor that discreetly insults, often leaving the victim of the verbal assault both oblivious and perplexed. It unintentionally has the same effect on the audience that it is intended to amuse. 3) Originating/ attempting to vitalize a list of ideas that will never come to fruition in reality. In this context, an action considered futile, seeing as the efforts accomplish nothing but to provide a rare form of entertainment. 4) A form of social sabotage through means of several social outlets to better one's own appearance. Starting or spreading rumors aimed to belittle opponents (usually social/political), in the latter case by mere prodding and inconspicuous intervention, so as to not make it apparent to the target, or to the public.
