A delicacy from the North West of England. Allegedly originating in the Wigan area, hence the name, but also popular in Manchester. Butter a bread roll, or barm-cake. Microwave a pork pie (growler) until the pastry goes soft and the jelly begins to melt, and then put the pie in the bun. Yummy.
