In an arranged marriage, it is a picture (digital or printed) that you circulate to potential partners (and their parents) in an attempt to woo them. Usually such pics portray the person as rich, smart, having fair complexion, and/or of a high social status. ("Rishta" is the Urdu/Hindi word for marriage proposal).
