Players Anonymous is a non-profit Organization that focuses on the recovery of individuals who have lived the fast and dangerous lifestyle of committing crimes. P.A is a 12 step program designed to help the individual break away from self-defeating behavior. The person does this by listening to others that have lived the life, and are now on a path to becoming respectable citizens. Also, working a 12-step program with a sponsor is considered highly recommended but not mandatory. The sole purpose of this fellowship is to spare our victims, our families, our communities, and our selves from misery. And live a normal productive life free of the vices that blind us. 3. P.A has no affiliations with any religious group, sects. or denominations. P.A is completely 100% self-supporting through its own contributions from its own members. 4.The history of the program dates back to 2005 at Pickaway Correctional institution in Orient, Ohio One inmate while doing time and involved in recovery noticed how there were alot of people in need of a program tailor made to the specific addiction from which he and countless others were afflicted. Very shortly later Mr. Bennett began putting pencil to paper in the early mornings while in his cell. And thus, Players Anonymous was born.
