Revived in the eighteenth centuary, the druid tradition stems back to the time of the celts where the druids took on the role of prophets, teachers and they also led rituals. In the late 1980s psychologist Phillip Gomm-Carr became the head of the British Druid order. Druidry is a polytheistic earth based religion that follows the mythology of the celts. Contemporary druidry has an eight-fold year that includes four fire festivals. It's a religion based on peace and reverence of nature and the ancestors.
