Named after the army manoeuvre based on the principle of fire and movement. That is, firing and moving, often in pairs, with one soldier firing to suppress the enemy whilst the other moves either toward the enemy or to a more favourable position. Pepper potting in sex involves one or two males engaged in sex with a single female, whilst more wait and move in once the initial pair have shot their loads.
