A simple exclamation of happiness when something sensical will not do. It is an obscure reference to both Mexicans (though not hateful) and some sort of food. If one were ever to open a hot chilies stand, it would have to be served out of gondola. Why? It just does, even though it makes no sense. It's logical in an illogical way. To panhandle this food, one would yell, "Gondola hot chilies for sale!"
