This term defines those who, while trying to get by, possess an active mind/body, persistent conscience and all-inclusive worldview. May take in strays, seeing it not as a chore but as an opportunity to improve the quality of life for others, as well as good karma. Vast variety: some may be vegans, but most will eat meat, wear leather, and use less than 100% recycled products (due to their small budget and priorities). They may not have the support, community, or popular culture of their elders as in the 60's, however this has only made them more independent, adaptable and resilient.
