(n.), a mental disorder that affects only women, mostly those in their teenage years. A woman with the Meyer complex feels that she is not complete without a boyfriend or husband by her side. In some cases, the disorder is so strong that the woman will not feel that she has the strength to live without a boyfriend or husband. The Meyer complex is named after best-selling author of the Twilight series, Stephanie Meyer. In her book series, the main character (Bella) has a substantial case of what is now known as the Meyer complex.
