One who attempts to make friends or become closer friends with a group of people by feigning interest in a particular area of culture (music, clothing, social activities). Generally a poser is someone who lacked friends for not fitting in with any real group, they decided to become more like everyone to make friends. Sometimes they actually do become legitimately interested in the new groups lifestyle, but oftentimes they only pretend and lead a life of lies
