A manga that is well known for its wacky characters, intense action sequences, and insane plot lines. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, written by Hirohiko Araki, is a seven part series that gained most of its popularity in the 90s and is the second longest running manga to date (over 100 volumes and counting). The story revolves around a protagonist, who has the syllable "jo" in his first and last name, who has to kill an immortal evil that threatens mankind (vampires, gods, ex.) . The series is best known for its references to popular music in America, most of which are the names of characters in the series. Suzi Q, Vanilla Ice, White Snake, ZZ Top, Lisa Lisa, the list goes on. Today the only thing people remember about Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is Dio Brando crushing the shit out of Jotaro with a steam roller while yelling "WRYYY" which is ultimately the best scene in the series but keeps would-be fans from reading anything else in the story. Anyone new to reading manga or in need of a good classic series should read this.
