When a snowboarder goes down a slope in the braking position, effectively the side of the board. A very slow way to go down advanced slops, commonly looked down upon by advanced boarders. Sideboarding is a technique commonly used by snowboarders not experienced enough to ride down blue and black slopes properly. Sideboarding has been known to wreck moguls and create unwanted banks of snow for more experienced boarders.
