Her break-out hit was Just Dance, which was shortly followed by Poker Face. She is well known for unique outfits and a powerful singing voice. [One of the most] well-known rumors about her is that she is a [hermaphrodite], meaning she has both a penis and a vagina. She was falsely quoted in 2008 as saying:

The above quote was taken from Starrtrash, a Blog hosted at Blogspot. However, before Starrtrash was shut down, it was just a joke site, including articles such as, "[Angelina Jolie] Steals Asian Child" and "Gwen Stefani Leaves Mandarin a Chinese Restaurant 100 Pounds Fatter". Lady Gaga's manager and Lady Gaga herself have dispelled the rumors, saying they are 'ridiculous' and completely false.
