The applied science of improving the nation, both politically and socially. This is essentially the same thing as the study of political science, but it comes from the Greek root words "eu" meaning (good or well) and "δημоѕ" meaning (a political area). This is not to be confused with the alliterative and complementary words eugenics and euthenics, which also come from Greek root words. Eugenics, which is the applied science of improving genetic health, and euthenics, which is the applied science of improving environmental health are the two subdivisions within the study of eudemics.
