A person that hooks heavy material to cranes using wire slings, hooks, chains, and straps. This peson must be skillful and knowledgeble. Riggers dont appear to be the sharpest tools in the shed. Most dont know textbook algebra, but they can tell you what a 5/8 choker can lift at a 60 degree angle. Riggers give hand signals to cranes that fly the material through the air. Contrary to popular 'urban belief' that riggers take it up the ass, I think if you tried to mount a true rigger, you would find a nice piece of red iron sitting where your front seat used to be....
