A style of post-punk rock music which came into being in the late 1970s and early 1980s in the Los Angeles area, and later in Europe. Some popular bands of this genre are Christian Death, 45 Grave, Kommunity FK, Radio Werewolf, and Voodoo Church. Basically, this music was post punk rock with a spooky or occultic edge to it which would later influence gothic rock.
