1. A genre of music evolved from punk, and has many different styles, from slow and chunky, to fast and light. Growling is also known as screaming, and these type of vocals is usually why people think that metal is horrible, and usually stereotype the entire metal genre as "no talent, random playing, horrible screaming nonsense." Metal songs also employs solos, which usually includes immense shredding in guitar solos, and extremely fast playing in drum solos. 2. A type of material, with many different varieties.
