(ry stands for "ryaku" in Japanese net-slangs. It is used to shorten a sentence that you already know that the other person has already heard so many times or can predict it coming. Though keep in mind (ry is used to shorten the sentence and make it for rather a humorous or mocking situations, and should not be used in early part of the sentence. Also, keep in mind (ry comes around the middle in the setence, and in middle of a word. See the examples.
