Punk Rock 101 is a song by the pop punk band bowling for soup. It appeared on the album 'Drunk Enough to Dance' had had moderate success. The song plays with the idea that Punk Rock is no longer a genre where the message is more important than music, but instead has become a way of getting famous. The song states that in recent years Punk Rock has become a particular style with rules instead of being the no rules type of music it was orginally. The lyrics say that this is "Stupid" and "Outrageous" and ask for someone to "Save us from Punk Rock 101". The Song also Mocks people who believe that Punk Rock does have regulations. This is shown through the sarcastic lyric "throw up your rock hands for Punk Rock 101". Despite this, some believe that it is hypocritical of Bowling for soup to play this song, as they have become similar to those mocked in the songs. These people claim this that many of the band's other songs often reflect what is being mocked in 'Punk Rock 101'
