Someone of Scottish origin who has lived in England long enough to pick up the language, slang and mannerisms of the English and to the Scottish ear may sound English but is in fact not. May even on occasions claim to be English, this is usually given away by a twang of their original accent. Someone who denies being Scottish, calls kilts skirts and can't understand anyone from Scotland.
