If these are not available in his locale, he will shop at Macy's as a last resort. 3. wears his hair in a "bed head" (messy, uncombed) style. 4. aspires to attend a private college, join a fraternity, and one day live like the losers on the "Friends" TV show. 5. hangs out at Starbucks and the mall. 6. would not be caught dead wearing jeans and a t-shirt. 7. comes from a middle-class/upper middle-class family. 8. will become an accountant or office drone after graduating from college and marry a bitch, but will pretend that he is a wild success. 9. listens to adult contemporary of Top 40 radio. 10. when he turns 40, will complain incessantly about his taxes, his kids, and will wonder where his life went wrong.

Distinguished from "preppy" in the sense that a preppy is now considered outdated in some circles, and a prepster is a more derogatory term.
