A stifled laugher often associated with inappropriate non-work related material at work. The goal of a cubicle laugh is to prevent others from knowing you aren't working hard because if you're laughing you can't possibly be productive. Breaking from cubicle laugher into genuine laughter causes the prairy dog effect to occur in surrounding cubes as co-workers wonder what could possibly be so funny.
