(back story) In 2007-2008 Marian Hossa started the NHL season with the Atlanta Thrashers and was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins near the trade deadline. The Penguins made it to the Stanley Cup final due to the trade, the Penguins failed to gain a victory over the 2007-2008 Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings. For the 2008-2009 NHL Hockey season Hossa decided to pass up a $50 million contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins to sign for a $7.5 million one year contract with the Detroit Red Wings. Final Result: The Pittsburgh Penguins, Detroit Red Wings, and Marian Hossa all ended up in the Stanley Cup Finals in a rematch, but Hossa was on the other side. The Penguins won and Hossa LOST AGAIN!!!! RATIONALE: THIS IS THE ONLY ACT IN ALL OF PROFESSIONAL SPORTS THAT IS MORE THAN AN EPIC FAIL. HE LEFT THE WINNING TEAM, THAT OFFERED HIM MORE MONEY!!!!
