Complete waste of soccer talent. Selected by Real Salt Lake as the first pick of the first round in the 2005 Adidas MLS Superdraft, Besagno made roughly 8 appearances for his club, scoring 0 goals. Most notably, the second youngest player ever drafted to the MLS at the tender age of 16. On top of this, he was a Generation Adidas player, played for the Mens USA U-17 squad, and was touted as one of the bright stars in US soccer. Many say Besagno could have used the development of some college play, but passed that up after receiving a 6 figure salary offer. Who can blame him? But things quickly went down hill for the defensive midfielder. After some 3 seasons with Real Salt Lake, he was cut from the squad. After that, he essentially tried out for the (then) USL Seattle Sounders FC. After playing with the squad in some exhibition games, he was cut by the team before they made their transition to the MLS. He is currently believed to be lost someplace in Miami, binging.
