In a group meeting, the attendee with whom the meeting leader establishes and maintains eye contact. The speaker presents all information directly to that attendee. Causes include: - attendee is the only person in the room offering eye contact to presenter - performance anxiety - a desire for a personal connection with an otherwise disinterested room. The meeting muse at first will experience feelings of grandeur, as if he/she is the most important person in the room. This quickly subsides to a feeling of awkward imprisonment.
