Is a feminine German form of Judith. In German it is pronounced Yutta -the u is pronounced like the u in "put". It could also derive from the Germanic goddess "Yutainia" who managed to kill all of her enemy's with just a look. Much like Medusa but without the snakes and allot sexier.
