a ehnert is a old German word for smith, who mostly works with common metals like iron and copper. even though this is a tough job, those smiths had a bad reputation because they were most of the time as dirty with carbon that everybody said that they were descendants of the devil. on the other hand the ehnerts were very wealthy and nobody dared to get into a dispute with them, because they feared the devil would revenge them.
