silly invention of public schools to make kids get to class faster. The Idea: Assistant Principals chill in the halls during passing time. Then when the tardy bell rings, the teachers lock their doors and anyone left in the halls is "swept" to an AP's office and given a tardy. That tardy slip is your pass into class. Mostly it just pisses everyone off an encourages rebellion.
