It has to do with people poking fun at Republicans for using Lincoln as a reference for being a republican reformer. The Lincoln aspect will always hurt the Democrats and they don't have any legit retort except to tease. This is the general maturity and age level of that party. Probably why they lose. It'll all end when McCain wins the upcoming election. People here went bonkers for Kerry too and we all see where that got them.
