All four band members hail from the Middleton area of Greater Manchester, and have known each other since they were ten years old. The band's debut single, "Cavorting" was released on August 6th 2007 by Loog Records. The single sold out immediately, with all available copies pre-ordered by their friends. A second single, "Acrylic" was released on [October 22nd] 2007 reaching number 44 in the UK Chart, the video also received [considerable] playtime on MTV2. The band have often been compared, both in look and in attitude, to fellow Mancunian rock band Oasis. The band have played down these comparisons, saying although Oasis are their idols, they sound "nothing like Oasis musically".
