definatley a sport. no cheerleading for a school and screaming and yelling sidelines isnt very athletic. but for anyone who SAYS it isnt a sport .. have you ever actually tried it. theres no offseason! there CONSTANT conditioning, and lifting people in the air and controlling their ankle while their lifting their legs above there head isnt exactly easy either. you dont know endurance until you practice a full out routine over and over and over again every single day. allstar cheerleading is way more hard then you think, and its a proven fact that cheerleading is the number one sport for catastrophic injuries, so dont even say its not dangerous. i could give a million definitions of cheerleading, and all the stregth, flexibility, years of hard work, determination, passion, endurance, and injuries that cheerleaders go through. but im sure any person who has sense should know .... idiots.
