Form of music brought back to mainstream after grunge was thought to "destroy" real heavy metal of the 70's, 80's and early 90's. These "Nu-Metal"-ists often use rapping and DJ sounds to enhance the sound. Although they are not really metal bands, they pose to be by using angry growls and screams over weak, riffless guitars uncommon to real heavy metal.
