The feeling of paranoia and fear an insecure person feels because one believes that other people think one looks like a clown such as Bozo or Ronald McDonald. An attack of clownaphobia can be caused simply at the sight or mention of clowns or clown props such as round red noses, big red hair, huge floppy shoes, bicycle horns, baggy pokadot pants. In some extreme cases, puppets and cartoon characters such as Howdy Doody and Alfred E. Newman can bring on an attack.
