A Houston, TX based U.S. national airline which currently operates a fleet of 274 Embraer Jets, consisting of EMB-135ER, EMB-135LR, EMB-145EP, EMB-145LR, and EMB-145XR variants. Expressjet is consistently a top performer when its performance metrics are measured against other airlines who operate aircraft of a similair size. Expressjet is publicly traded on the new york stock exchange, and their symbol is XJT. ExpressJet operates approximately 49 of these aircraft with an airline of their own name, serving 24 US cities. Most of their destinations are in the southwestern US, but they serve cities from coast to coast. 10%-20% of those 49 aircraft are typically devoted to charter-only duties at any given time.
