The process of smearing a person's name for political purposes due to what their pastor may have said. Named after the barrage of media coverage (mostly Fox News) and ensuing political opponents attempting to discredit Barrack Obama based on what his retired pastor, Jeremiah Wright, has said in the past couple of years in relations to racial prejudice in America. Not to be confused with "pasteurizing" -- the process of killing bacteria by heating fluids to 180 degrees F or when the turkey or other political candidates are cooked until undesirable rubbery state.
