A soldier of the streets. Stereotyped as a person who intends only to harm people, sell drugs, and do other things, but actually in most cases is intelligent. Gangstas are about respect. They have no intentions to purposefully harm people, except when put into a situation where they feel it will protect themselves, family, friends, and their neighborhood. Selling drugs and killing is revolved around personal choices and is not part of being a gangsta. Gangstas are part of an organization made up of people with a common interest. Gangs origionally started due to the harsh life in below poverty areas and due to racial issues threatening the life of blacks. gangs are family-based organizations
