Often these people have a massive number of friends/comments, but in reality are considered losers within the social hierarchy. Myspace champions also have lots of photos, and post tons of pointless blogs in a futile attempt to gain online popularity, in false hope that online popularity will lead to even a small amount of social success in the real world.
