Proper Noun: A world-renowned Japanese game developer known as the creator the video game characters Mario, Link, and Donkey Kong. He is currently employed as the General Manager of Nintendo Co. LTD's Entertainment Analysis and Development group. He was born on November 16, 1952 in Kyoto, Japan. He was the decisive factor in Nintendo's rise to success within the growing video game arcade market with the creation of the game Donkey Kong in 1981. He has been given many awards including the first induction to the Academy of Interactive Arts and Science's Hall of Fame and becoming a chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. He is known for being modest and requests an average income. He has just finished development on Super Mario Galaxy and his only known current project is Wii Fit.
