A 2.5-mile oval track/2.601-mile road course located in Indianapolis, IN. Opened in 1909, the track became famous for the running of the Indianapolis 500. Since 1994, the track became host to a NASCAR event, the Brickyard 400. From 2000 until 2007, a Formula One event, the United States Grand Prix, raced on the infield road course. Beginning in 2008, the track will play host to a MotoGP event, the Indianapolis Grand Prix.
