The term used to describe a death on an online FPS where the main cause of the death is extreme amounts of lag. There are many instances where lagicide can take place. One example is where a player cannot get to cover effectively because of the lag causing the player to have poor control over their in-game model. Another example is where a player cannot effectively target another player due to him "jumping" about due to lag. This usually leads to the player losing this fight. One last example is where a player might try and use grenades or other explosives to eliminate the foe but, due to laggy gameplay, the explosive can often hit or bounce of walls or scenery the player is barely aiming at, prompting an untimely death. This all leads to a sub-par match for the player. Quitting the game is the usual next step after experiencing lagicide.
