There are a number of specific events that have to take place to create a bona-fide reverbellion. Event 1: Something, perhaps a band, movie, style of clothing, movie star, TV show, etc., becomes popular and loved by many people. Event 2: Seeing how popular this thing, person, or idea has become, people start rebelling against the mainstream by hating it. This is one form of a rebellion. Event 3: So many people start hating the thing, person, or idea that it becomes popular and maybe even hackneyed to dislike it. Event 4: Other people begin rebelling against the new popularity by proclaiming that they like this thing, person, or idea, as opposed to hate it, and hence the true rebellion begins coming from the opposite direction--or "reverse" direction, if you will. This is called a reverbellion.
